2020 PAGH Conference, Miami Florida

At the conference medical providers from across the states, including Alaska were represented, as well as international travelers from the United Kingdoms and Israel. Topics ranged from the impact of climate change, global policy and tropical diseases, to gender and sexual minority medicine and maternal morbidity and mortality worldwide. There was representation of many Florida educational and healthcare systems including FIU, Arc Health, University of Miami, and Barry University. Notable speakers from organizations were present, including the International Association of Physician Assistant Education (IAPAE), The U.S. State Department, The Fund for Global Health and AAPA President, David Mittman.

We had lectures in Mental Health, Emergency Management, Women's Health, Intro to Global Health and PAs around the Globe, and How to Practice Disaster Medicine with Limited Resources.

2018 PAGH Conference, Minneapolis MN

The conference was a huge success! We had a large turnout including PA students from Wisconsin, inpatient PAs from Nebraska and New York, as well as many prospective PA students!
Lecture topics included clinical pearls about common disease states around the globe, the staging of female genital mutilation, personal anecdotes from refugee camp work in Samos Greece, and research findings on children with disabilities in Zambia.
