I have worked as a PA in orthopedics sports medicine, for over 20 years! I’d like to become more active in global medicine, specifically in disaster relief. I’ve recently completed a DMSc program, and am finishing up a Certificate in Disaster Medicine. While I enjoy working with people in my own community, I’d like to try and work on a larger scale and reach out to areas in greater need.
Global Health Experience
Currently, I am trying to get onto one of the NDMS DMAT teams, but am finding it tricky to navigate the federal job system. I am curious how to work in some capacity on an international relief mission. A medical mission is something I’ve always aspired to participate in, and am now ready to figure out how.
