My name is Lea Hix and I am a PA-C working in urology and general surgery with Dignity Health at Sequoia Hospital in California. I graduated from Stanford University’s Master of Science in PA Studies program.
Global Health Experience
I created, conducted, and published two qualitative interview-based research studies on the PA profession internationally with a focus on the PA role in Germany (published in JPAE March 2020) and in Ireland (published in the International Journal of Healthcare in October 2020). I also served as the founding Co-President of the International Federation of PA/Comparable Students (IFPACS) which we started in May 2020. I hope to continue researching (and later practicing and eventually maybe even teaching) abroad in my future PA career! I look forward to meeting and talking to some of you PAGH members who have similar interests! Thank you!
